Garda lake cross/slalom `07 Listening to Bruce winging about the weather l have decided to make an attempt to add a little warmth to those miserable cold days back home. We have arrived to Torbole, the hot spot on Garda, a couple of days before the start of the regatta. Huge 20-40knot winds covered the lago (lake).

The Marmong Point Spring Regatta finished up last Sunday with 21 keen Formula sailors attending. After four races, Brett Morris took out the event closely followed by Sam Fawkes who also took two bullets alongside Brett. Sean O’Brien has broken into the Top 10 of the Formula Euro-Cup tour finishing 9th at the final event for the season on the Isle of Wight, England. In Tallinn, Estonia, Allison Shreeve has defended her world championship title for the third consecutive year. The 2005 and 2006 world champion put in her best performance yet, winning every race (11 in total) held during the week of 13th to 18th August, in very trying and varied conditions ranging from 10 to 27 knots.

Australia has given birth to its very own RS:X Class Association. A brand new website has also been created which you can view at http://www.rsx.yachting.org.au. RS:X is the Official Olympic Class for windsurfing and will be be featuring for the first time at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
